Avoiding filtering in some of the vizualizations

View before filetring. It should stay like this.View before filetring. It should stay like this.View after filteringView after filtering

Hi everyone,

I'm creating a dasbaord where I have filters in Filters section on the right side (not slicers). Some of my vizs should be filtered and some of the not. I would like to create a measure that will let me to keep all the years in visual above. How to resole this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Remove connection between first visual' and second visual' table in "Relationship" part. Then filtering on first will not affect second table.

If can't, just create second visual' table copy in query editor, as reference. And then use this copied in second visual.

Hi @Anonymous

If you'd like to filter the specific visual, you can perform the change in "Filters on this visual" which won't affect other visuals.

It is not able to use "Filters on this page" to filter only some of the visuals.

Hi @v-diye-msft

thanks for your advice but I have around 20 vizuals so I need to have filters that apply to all of the vizuals. It woudn't be user friendly if they have to choose filetrs on every page or vizual.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

Sorry, I won't know more.

Based on my research, there are no other simple way to meet your requirement currently. The only workaround is setting the filter on this visual and page respectively.

Try

calculate(sum(sales),all(date[year]))

Hi @amitchandak

thanks for your answer but I also use "Year" as dimension in my chart so not filetring only "Sales" won't resolve the problem.

Can you share a sample pbix? After removing sensitive data.

Or you can use excel   or pbix to share

Hi @Mariusz

thanks for your answer. Unfortunately it won't work in my case. I use fileters section, not slicers.

I would be able to use your soultion if I had slicers. I don't want to change my approach because users are already used to it and all of my filters apply to all of the pages.

Thanks
