Averaging Shift Data as one 24 hr period

Hi there,

I'm new to Power BI and I'm putting together a production KPI dashboard. We have 2 x 12 hour shifts per day.

I obtain data from an SQL database. Each shift (row) contains around 80 columns of data. Each shift row is labelled using the "end time"of the shift. For example today's dayshift (D/S) is labelled 10/6/2018 18:00, the next night shift (N/S) is labelled as 11/6/2018 06:00 (i.e. it finishes the next day).

I want to create a date table which groups the 2 shifts as 1 single date, that being the D/S date (10/6/2018). I can then average or sum production data of the two shifts as one 24 hrs period under the one date.

I know there are similar posts out there for these types of queries, but I couldn't find anything that was specific to this type of problem. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
