Hi there,
I'm struggling to find a way to calculate the average of two quick measures already sorted by type. Let me lay out my problem.
I have two sets of data imported similar to the example data above. Then, in powerBI, I use the quick measure function to calculate "Percentage Difference" of the medians of apps & desktops per group. Ie, compare median of apps from type "A" from first dataset to the median of apps of the same type from the second dataset.
This gives me a table that looks like:
I have tried (unsuccessfully) to add an extra column in that screenshot which will calculate the average over the row for each type but I cannot figure it out. ie, the first entry in the right hand column would be the average of 45.91% and 34.62% = 40.26%.
Is it possible to compute this row average of two quick measures?I tried creating the percentage difference as a custom column but I couldn't get the correct value.
Many thanks.

if there will always be two values (as you are comparing to measures) can you not just add them and divide by 2
Measure = var a = [Median overhead - apps] var b = [Median overhead - desktop] var ret = (a+b)/2 return ret

Yeah that works, thank you. I couldn't figure out how to reference the already created quick measures. Thanks again.
