Average 3,6,24 of a incremental Triangle

Hi all, I am trying this again and I hope to find help on this. This question has an excel example and a Power BI link so you can understand better my question.

  --->  HERE     <---

I am working on this incremental triangle where I need to add a few measures to analyze some patterns like Ratio, Averages of the ratio 3, Average 6,12 and 24 months

An example of the AVG 3 from the Ratio measure I created will be like:

  • Average 3= AVG from 202207 202206 202205 in Accident month 1 (1.45 +1.56 +1.61/3) = 1.54

                                     AVG from 202206 202205 202204 in accident month 2 (1.06 +1.07+1.09/3) = 1.07

It will look something like this:

I got the Ratio part figured out but I am struggling with the average of the Ratios, especially because there are so many blanks.

How can I take the average from the last 3 months from this triangle?

I appreciate the help or any insight.

Thanks
Michelle

Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension!

DAX is simple, but NOT EASY!

Hi, @CNENFRNL Thank you so much for your help, but I don't think this accomplished what I needed.

If you look into this link I included in my question, you will see on the excel sheet what I want to accomplish. Please see below.

I have not seen the averages on your Power BI. Am I missing something?

 Please let me know.

Thanks again for your time.
