Automatic updates and saves

While it's possible to use a source such as web or an SQL database, etc, but is it possible to make a graph over time by continuously saving the information retrieved each time to make a time series?

For instance, if I locate a weather service that publishes the actual temperature each morning,  but no historical values, could I use that to over time save the information (say daily) and plot that up to and including the latest point that has been updated?

If not (and yes I realise it's out of scope of this board, but hopefully I can get a hint in the right direction at least), does another Microsoft program offer that that can be plugged in with Power BI (or any program at all, that is PBI-compatible)? Preferably one source that can handle SQL and similar sources as well, and with minimal manual work.

I'm afraid we may not achieved your requirement currently in Power BI.

You could post your idea in Power BI ideas Forum.
