Automatic deselect item of a slicer that does not belong to parent slicer

I have two slicers in a dashboard, one for countries, and one for cities that belong to the selected country.

The problem is when I select Country A, Then City A-4 for example, then If I changed the country to B, I found the list of cities contains B-1, B-2, ... in addition to A-4 which belongs to country A, Not B!

I have to manually select another city from B-? hence, the A-4 city disappears from the cities list!

Is there a way to unselect any city from the cities slicer as soon as the country changed?

Have you considered using the Hierachy Slicer?

Hi,

It seems that the problem is solved when you format the child slicer with the following settings:

- Slicer Settings / Selection / Single select=False

- Show "Select all" option

The child slicer wil not show the options irrelevant to the parent slicer, even if such options were previously selected.

Edit: The information I gave just above is incorrect. It does not work.

Many thanks @Phil_Seamark for your care and speedy replies.

I have tried the Hierarchy Slicer, it works fine, but I feel the two slicers look better.

I think that this is a good workaround,  but I hope Microsoft can solve this in the future development of the program.
