Automatic Update

Hi,

I am pretty new to Power BI and I have question regarding automcatically updating dashboard and reports.

Every week I receive standardized sales data (xls. file) from my company's server and wonder whether it is possible to automatically update the dashboard/ reporst by moving the same xls. file into the folder which is connected to Power BI?

I guess this is possible, but it would be great if more seasoned PowerBI users could confirm this.

Two ways that could work. One, if you use a folder query, it will import all files from the folder. You would likely need to use a data gateway for the refresh. The other way you could do it would be via an Excel file query and you would just replace the file using the same name.

Hi,

Every week I download a standardized dataset of salesdata from my company's server. Is it possible to assign this xls. file into the folder that PowerBI is connected to and automatically update the dashboard and report?

I am pretty sure this is possible, but it would be great if more seasoned users could confirm this.
