Hi @Anonymous,
Just to make sure I understand..
1. Create a "Master" pbix dataset and publish to a workspace
2. Create pbix1 and publish to the same workspace
3. Configure auto refresh only on "Master" dataset. No need to configure auto refresh on pbix1?
The quick answer is yes. As pbix1 uses a shared dataset of "Master", no new dataset will be created, they're just using a single shared dataset.
Regards
You could use shared dataset for multiple reports but the limitation is, you can only publish that report to the same Power BI service workspace that contains the dataset being used. So whenever the dataset is refreshed all the data in the connected reports are refreshed.
