Autmatic drill with calendar

Hello,
I have calendar, relative. Made by slicer.
Also i have chart with x-ax which show date.

  • If i ll take last 2 months in calendar slicer, i want to show 2 clumns on chart - with months.
  • If i ll take last 7 days, i want to show 7 columns on chart - with days.

Is it possible? Im taking data from sql server. Dont have calendar table.
Now i have choosen last 6 months and i have on chart multiple days. Also i have made hierrarchy with days, months and years - is it useful?

Hi @kchojnowski

It is impossible to get 2 or 7 columns when you select within date slicer, selecting a or more items in a slicer, only results one or more rows in your viusal instead of changing numbers of columns in your visual.

Now i have choosen last 6 months and i have on chart multiple days.

Do you mean?

put the date(like 2018/1/1~2018/10/10) in the slicer, then select last 6 months, in the chart it shows mutiple days (from 2018/4/10~2018/10/10).

Also i have made hierrarchy with days, months and years - is it useful?

Is your final requirement to create date hierarchy with a calendar table in direct query mode?

Best Regards

Maggie
