Applying Changes on Change of Source

I am working on a data model that is pointing to an Excel data source on my laptop.  I want to change the source to the one that the Gateway will use when I publish it to the service.  However, when I change the source and apply the changes it will not apply as it cannot find the network path.  Is there a way around this?  TIA

@Razorbx13 Perhaps just use a parameter and then it is an easy switch?
