Application doesn't start after changing windows password

Hi there.

I've been facing some problem that really gets on my nerves ever since I started using Power BI Desktop. The problem is that every time I need to change my windows password (due to the companie's policies) the Power BI Desktop just doesn't launch. The splash screen shows up (and, rarely, even the main screen) but before I can do anything the application just terminates itself, no error messages, no warning, no nothing.

I do know (by experience) that sooner or later it will start again normally the day after, as if nothing had ever happened, but this is a major hindrance, as I have to halt all authoring until the application itself allows me to use it again...

Does anyone know any workaround to it? Maybe, I don't know, deleting a "login file" or something?

@Marcos_Franco ,

Please install the latest version of power bi desktop. In Edit Query-> Data source settings, click clear all permissions and check if the issue still persists.

Hi there @v-yuta-msft .

I can't apply this kind of solution, since I'd need to be able to access the menu but the application just doen't start. Besides, it's not related to any data source, but to the application itself.

As I mentioned before, the problem "auto fixes" itself the day after I change the windows password (when the Power BI Desktop application, then, asks me to login onto my account again), and this is a problem I've been facing for about a year, so it's not related to any version (I'm using the latest one, btw).

When you have a policy of (forcebly) changing your password every few days (45 days, more or less) this problem is a real pain...

@Marcos_Franco ,

If this issue still persists, I would suggest you to create a support ticktet here.
