Hello!
I have a table called projectname01, this table have several columns (cost center, owner, sponsor ..) and have a column called OldSolutionName (old project name) and NewSolutionnamet (new project name ).
What i need is to filter both columns (old and new name) to another table (projectcosts) that contains a column called Projectname that will have records with the Old and New names. i can't do a relationship to both columns in the same table, i already tried to duplicate the table and append the queries, but i got an error, so i supose it is not possible.
Anyone could help me to find a good way to have it done.
In an example :
I have a project name = XPTO - US it is present in the ProjectCost and ProjectName tables, so here the simple relationship works
But i also have the projects
XPTO
XPTO1
XPTO - United States
And all above have different values on the ProjectCost tables and they are present in the ProjectName table in a different column, but i need to show the costs of this 3 above as XPTO - US, within the XPTO - US costs that i alredy have with the first relationship
Could you show me two sample tables (projectname01 and projectcosts) to me and the relationship you build between two tables?
And you can show me a screenshot of the result you want.
Or you can provide me with your pbix file by your Onedrive for Business.
This may make it easier for me to understand your requirement.
Best Regards,
Rico Zhou

HI amitchandak
Thanks for you answer, i didn't knew the usage of inactive relationship and it is indeed very helpful, but i am not sure if it fit my need.
i have create both relationships from my costs table to my project tables and also the measure to use the inactive relationship, my problem is that i will need to show the costs in a single value, so i need to present the costs of OldSolutionName projects appearing with the NewSolutionName projects.
I just need to find the cost of OldSolutionName projects and relate it to the NewSolutionName, because my users dont care about the OldSolutionName, they just want to see the costs for the current project name, i need to hide it in the reports. using the method you shared i will have a measure only for the OldSolutionName.
@caio_queiroz , Join both of them, One will active another will be inactive. Inactive can be activated using userelation
