Any tool automatically returns all data sources used in a Power BI dataset?

Hi everyone,

Instead of manually going into each Power BI dataset and clicking on Advanced Editor to find out the data sources/connections (e.g. tables in SQL Server) in each Power BI dataset, is there any third party app that can achieve this automatically or semi-automatically?

Need to do some housekeeping but it will take forever to find out which SQL Server tables and columns are being used.

Thanks.

Hi @Penn ,

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI Desktop currently. You can post your new idea here https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas , to improve the Power BI Desktop.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Best Regards,

Amy
