We have several programs with annual contracts and I have a dashboard that shows where we should be YTD. If the contracts are:
Program A 30,000
Program B 40,000
Program C 50,000
Then, I would create an excel document with the daily target for each date for each program to be able to chart the YTD target with a date filter.
July 1, 2019 Program A 82.19
July 1, 2019 Program B 109.59
July 1, 2019 Program C 136.99
July 2, 2019 Program A 82.19
July 2, 2019 Program B 109.59
July 2, 2019 Program C 136.99
etc.
However, we are gaining several new contracts and I imagine there has to be an easier way with Power BI. Any help would be much appreaciated. 🙂

With time intelligence and date calendar you can do that
YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(('Date'[Date]),"12/31"))
This Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD((ENDOFYEAR('Date'[Date])),"12/31"))
Last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year),"12/31"))
Last YTD complete Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(ENDOFYEAR(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year)),"12/31"))
Last to last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-2,Year),"12/31"))
Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year))
To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :

Thank you. I tried your first equation, but it just gave me the daily target for each. It didn't sum them based on the date filter. I must not be understanding the references.
