And/And behavior for filters instead of Or/Or

I had no idea how to describe this well in a title, but I'm sure it will be clear when I explain it.

I'm working with a dataset of new data and historical data. I am just the report builder so I do not have access to the underlying dataset and as such I cannot make changes in the Query Editor.

My problem is that all the data comes from a Sharepoint source, and so more or less the same fields are all there but they are displayed differently in the new dataset.

I need to display the Critical Milestones and Deliverables. For the new dataset this is easy as they introduced a code on which you can filter whether it is a Milestone or Deliverable and a filter for critical.

However, for the old data, different fields have to be used to determine whether it is a deliverable or milestone.

The fields Duration = 0 days, dashboard = "Yes" and Milestone status = 2 should be used.

When I add the filters of the new dataset, I get 435 Milestones:

example1.PNGCapture.PNG

However, when I add the filters of the historic dataset, I'm only left with one milestone/deliverable because the filter pane uses some sort of or/or dynamic. I need an and/and dynamic where these all work together so I'd get 436 Milestones/Deliverables instead of 1.

If I would be able to use the Power Query, it would be much easier to solve.

Is there a way I can solve this without using the Power Query?

Thanks for answering!

I'm going to close this post since someone within my company solved the problem for me by making use of the Power Query.

Thanks for the help 🙂

Hi @Irisvb ,

I'm still a little confused about your scenario.

It seems that you have problems for page filter to show the correct values on your old dataset.

Why do you cannot use power query when get data from sharepoint data source?

In addition, could you show the data sample and the desired output so that we could have a test on it?

Best  Regards,

Cherry
