Hello,
I have this ridiculous issue with all my models and have not found a solution so far. I think the best example is the calendar, I have one column with the dates and one with the year of the date.
This is quite annoying because people in my company always see everything from the data even after prefiltering. Has anyone encountered the same issue and found a solution to this?
Thanks a lot,
Raphaël
Hi @Anonymous,
From your description, I could not understand the sentense "First I put the year in the filter of the pivot table and select 2018", could you mean fiter the data in your data view like below picture:
If so, it could not apply for your report, I suggest you add your year column to the page level filter:
Hope it could help you.

Daniel He
I am speaking when you connect from Power BI into excel, but I did some research and it seems to be a setting in pivot tables in excel and there is no workaround..
Hi @Anonymous,
Sorry to misunderstand you, based on my research, I am afraid you could not achieve this feature currently, I suggest you submit an idea in ideas forum:https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas
