Alternative to this DAX Expression? Count of unique combination of two columns

Helllo,

Anyone have a good suggestion for an alternative to this expression?

Unique CustomersProducts  = COUNTROWS(GROUPBY(fact_distribution;fact_distribution[fk_dim_customer];fact_distribution[fk_dim_publication]))
I tried with:

Unike CustomersProducts  =
COUNTROWS (
ALL (
fact_distribution[fk_dim_customer];
fact_distribution[fk_dim_publication]
))

This gives a much better performance, but because of the ALL it doesn't care about the filter context. The group by seems very heavy tho so it's a slow DAX expression.

Appreciate any help!

Best,

Ali A

Hi @parry2k ,

Ended up creating  a column in the DWH concatenating the fields and using a simple

CountRows(Distinct(ColumnName))

Worked wonders for the front-end part 🙂

Thanks for responding!

Best,
