Allowing Anonymised/De-Anonymised reloads

Good morning,

There is a possibility that I am overthinking this, but I was wondering whether anyone would be able to suggest an idea.

I have a data model that looks as follows:

data model.PNG

In the Players table, there are two columns:

Player - the player's full name (de-anonymised)

Anonymised - the player's name anonymised

I would like to be able to show the application to two different sets of people:

  1. The player's directly involved in the league
  2. External parties as a means of demonstrating App development

Is there a way that I am able to, either within Power Query or directly from the dashboard itself, to:

  1. Enter a selection (anonymised or de-anonymised)
  2. Reload application
    1. On reload, dependant on choice, either the Player column or Anonymised column from the Player table is dropped and the remaining column is renamed PlayerName

Or is there a different option I am not considering that would achieve the desired result?

Kind regards,

Paul

@PaulVanS Could definitely have a query parameter that you could use in a calculated column in Power Query that copies in the information from either column depending on what is set. I also created this DAX calculation to do anonymize on the fly: Anonymous Too - Microsoft Power BI Community
