Allow a user to select two or more attributes to appear in a matrix

Hello,

I have the a very large dataset with 50 different attributes and a small number of values which require aggregating.

The requirements are that the user must be able to select at least two attibutes to display on a matrix. The values remain static.

A small generic example of the raw data set is as follows:

Age Gender EyeColour Weight Sale Premium Cxx

15FBlue121500
26Fgrey161491
56Mblue171360
25Fblue241780
53Fgrey121730

The end result would allow the user to select 2 attributes from Age, Gender, EyeColour and Weight in order to analyse the Sale, Premium and Cxx values by. The require the data to appear in a tabular format so I am working on the basis that a matrix is the best choice.

I have read an excellent post here https://powerpivotpro.com/2018/01/dynamic-attributes-power-bi-report/ on allowing a user to select multiple measures to appear on a graph using the SWITCH command but I cannot find anything about doing something similar on a matrix with dynamic attributes.

Please let me know if you require further information.

HI @Anonymous,

I don't think your scenario is suitable for dynamic attributes visuals.
First, matrix need to setting row axis, for your scenario, dynamic attribute column need to use on column field, if you used it on rows field, matrix will drill to detail attribute as list.

In addition, switch function not support to split summarized records to different category.

Thanks for your response. Are you able to suggest another way I can meet the requirement without using a matrix?
