Hello, I am trying to figure out how to add new data to existing data that has been imported and unpivoted in power BI. The orginal data is obtained in a file that I import to power BI then unpivot for use. Do I need to 're-pivot' the data -> append the tables -> un-pivot every time I add new? Thanks for the help here are a few screenshots of what I am trying to describe

Hi @warnera
Based on my test, I aggree with ssugar's advice.
If you add some rows to the data source, (you don't change the table structure in the data source),
then click on "refresh" button, the new added rows would automatically imported in regardless of any transformation to your table in Power Query.
Best Regards
Maggie

Wow- I never actually considered that it would communicate directly with the excel spreadsheet. I apoligize for what now seems to be a very stupid question.
No stupid questions around here. Happy we could help 🙂
You shouldn't have to do anything. Assuming you're unpivoting as a step within PowerQuery, when you add more rows to your source data, during the next refresh, the new data will also be unpivoted.
