Add a total of a select group to a column chart

Hi,

I have a set of data that is 1. broken by country (US/Canada) and 2. broekn out by region (East, West, etc.) for US Only. I want to create a chart showing each region broken out and then the total for the US and total for canada like the below (this is from Excel):

Is there any way to add the Sub Total US column to power BI on a chart?

Hi @alisonpappas ,

You will need to add the "US total" as a row in the table.

Assum your table is like below.

1.PNG

Create a new table.

Table 2 = UNION('Table',distinct(SELECTCOLUMNS('Table',"country","US","region","US total","value",CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[value]),FILTER('Table','Table'[country]="US")))))

2.PNG

Use the new table to create the chart you want.

@alisonpappas maybe create a matrix visual and put data bars and that will allow you to see bars on the regions as well as on the country.
