Add Sales from Different Table

Hi There,

I am putting together a line Graph of Current year, PY and Budget sales.

To get this, I have to combine two different Tables.

Table1 Includes Full budget, full 2019 and Jan - April 2020

Table 2 includes 2019 - up to today 2020. The data is just missing specific entries, so the sales do not match up. Thats why I must use table1 for previous sales.

For 2020 I would like to add the Table 1 sales plus table 2 2020 sales for Period 5 only.

Formula Used to combine the data is

2020 Sales =
[Table1 GSV20] + [table2 2020 for 5]

The issue that I am having, is the "table2 2020 for 5" is showing up for each month. Shown below for the future months easily, but it is also on the Jan-April 2020.

My goal is to show 2020 Period 1 -5 on this line graph (specifically a line and cluster, but only using the line)

Thank you for your help

Hi @Anonymous ,

It seems like you use the month hierarchy in the axis and your measure like [Table1 GSV20] has quoted whole values about 2019 so that it will reflect in the line chart.

One way to solve this is use the visual filter to just show only 5 months in line chart.

Or could you please consider sharing your measure or a dummy .pbix file for further discussion?

Best Regards,
Yingjie Li

Thank you, I did have it filtered by the month. When I changed it to the day, it worked.
