Access to selected reports inside an app

Hi,

We are planning to deploy Apps for all the users who use generic reports and dashboards. We are wondering when we publish an App is there any we can restrict access/visibility within the App ?

For example:

We created 10 reports for finance dept and we published an App with all reports in them. 5 reports are common for all. But business controller A should only see common reports + 2 other reports in App and business controller B should see common reports + 4 other reports and manager should be able to see all reports.

Is there any way we can achieve this ?

I haven't found any setting to give selective access to each report inside the App.

Regards

PP

Hi @PBIDEV_10 ,

I think you should learn about RLS. Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI can be used to restrict data access for given users. Filters restrict data access at the row level, and you can define filters within roles. In the Power BI service, members of a workspace have access to datasets in the workspace. RLS doesn't restrict this data access.

@v-stephen-msft Thank you for your reply Stephen. I am restricting data access via cube roles. What I want here is user business controller A should see only his reports in the workspace. Not all. That means if he doesnt have access to some of the reports then they should not be present in the report list when he accesses the workspace.
