AS400/iSeries DB2 database connectivity question

I am working for a company where I have access to the AS/400 but not as an Administrator so my rights are very limited.

If an ODBC connection needs to be configured; I also may need assisstance.

I need to know how to explain to our current 3rd party how to do any configuration that would allow me to pull data from our as400(I know name and IP address) DB2 database(dont know name) into Power BI desktop via Get Data - IBM Db database.

Thanks in advance to all the Power BI Desktop experts.

HI @Jferrell ,

For setting AS400 odbc driver, you can refer to the following document:

How To Set Up ODBC Connectivity To An AS/400

In addition, you can also try to use web connector with IBM I APIs to get data from AS400:

Modernize your platform with IBM i 7.4_APIs by category
