AR Table Date field import as Text unable to convert to date

Hi All

My AR Table date field imported to PBI as Text.

I try to convert it to Date.

When i click on replace current  , all the date erase off.

I have already import few raw data to PBI before no issue.

Hi @Paulyeo11 

Those dates are in m/d/y format.  You need to click on the column header and then Change Type -> Using Locale and choose Date, English (United States).

Those dates are in m/d/y format.  You need to click on the column header and then Change Type -> Using Locale and choose Date, English (United States).

@Paulyeo11 , my system has the US date format. SO I was able to change data type to date . You can try that in a power query or data view.

in case you have a UK format. Then better to have a new column like

 

new date =
var _pos = search("/",[col],,0)
return
date(right([date],4), mid([date],_pos+1,2), left([date],_pos-1))

 

and use that
