Hello, 

I am looking to take both the 70-778 & 70-779 Exams and have 2 questions: 

1. Can the 70-778 exam be completed with just the desktop version of Power BI? 

2. Can the 70-779 exam be completed with the SQL Server Express edition? 

P.S. I do not have licensing from work for either, I would be willing to pay myself for a Power BI license but not so sure about a Standard edition of SQL Server.

Which exam will you take? What does 70-778 mean? Please provide more details.

Hi Jimmy, 

The 70-778 is the course number for the exam from Microsoft "Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI." 

It is 1 of 2 exams, the other being 70-779 "Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Excel," which earns an MSCA BI Reporting.
