Hi all
I'm getting the following error message, and I can't figure out what the problem is. It occurs when I implement the 'Expanded' step that comes after merging 2 tables, but I also get it if I add a count rows function earlier in the querying process.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi @tgjones43 ,
When you look at this error code you have the information of what is the transformation that is happening in this case formatting a value to number and the data that is being transformed "2 elves" this is composed by numbers and text so it cannot be formatted as number.
You need to go on a step that is should be called "Change Type" go to the previous step and on the column you are having this error select the text format, if it asks to replace the next step say yes.
When you have an error on the query all the steps after that will return error.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @tgjones43 ,
i think there is a "Changed Type" step, where you try to convert a column with text to number.

Thanks all, that's a great help. What confused me is that the error message didn't occur straight after the Changed Type, but a few steps later in the process. All sorted now.
Hi @tgjones43 ,
In the Changed Type the error could already appeared however since the information for the preview is truncated you probably won't see it (ione way is to make a filter on the column and check if it gives an error. This type of errors normally are seen line by line so you will get one line with value and the other with the error.
When you go further on the query and make for example grouping or other type of steps it gives returns the full error and no data.
