Hi Everyone,
I have two date slicers in my report.
One is to select Year 2 range (lets call it "this year date")
The second date slicer is to select Year 1 range (lets call it "last year date")
Goal is to setup these two slicers such that, when I select a start and end date on "this year date" slicer, the second date slicer should automatically select a date range of exactly 1 year prior.
E.g.
Let's assume I now selected a date range of 2021-Jan-01 to 2021-May-31 in "This year Date" slicer.
Now I want the other date slicer "Last year Date" to automatically adjust itself to 2020-Jan-01 to 2020-May-31.
Is this possible? If yes, then please help me figure this out! I've been stuck on this for a while now.
I've checked all options and features on PowerBI and there's no such way to do it. I'm not even sure how to search for it online. because all searches lead me to setting up a direct sync(which is not helpful) instead of the kind of sync I want to setup.
Any help is much appreciated!
Cheers!
Do some UX mockups and observe your users' reactions. I'd be interested to hear about the results.
What do you expect to happen to the first slicer when the user manipulates the second slicer? 🙂
i'll likely hide the second slicer behind another one.
