Hello All,
I am a newbie in this area and just need some 101 help. I inherited a PBI report that pulls 10 tables from SQL. I can see the tables and spider web of relationships in PBI Desktop (data model). The original developer set up the report where 3 of the 10 tables are used to feed the report. If I try using fields from any of the other tables, I mainly get garbles inaccurate info. I just want to confirm my hunch, when tables are set up with relationships, it does not necessarily mean you can then pull from any table, the end result of the design will be designated tables intended for use. Is this a correct assumption? The previous developer is gone and I am not a database person but seem to understand the fundamentals. Thanks for any help with this question.

@Anonymous , Too broad question, can you be specific. Can you share sample data and sample output in table format?
