1:n relationship between two facts

Hi,

my brain hurts, so I guess it is time to ask for help. 🙂

Imagine there are two facts given. One is the fact_cart and the other one is a fact_customized_article. As you can guess one cart can have multiple customzied_article. But both of them have multiple dimensions which discribe the fact.

In the past I have read an article that says that it is not allowed to build a relationship between facts themself, rather combine the two facts into one big fact or build a relationship based on a shared dimension. But non of these points are able to apply.

What can I do?

@Anonymous, Based on what I got so far.

Ideally fact_cart merge fact_customized_article (in power query or database) and join them with other dimensions.

New table should have all keys needed to join with other tables.

merge in power bi -https://radacad.com/append-vs-merge-in-power-bi-and-power-query

why star -https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/the-importance-of-star-schemas-in-power-bi/
