The digital traces of Borkai's great fall (Hungarian political story)
There was at autumn of 2019 in Hungary a "surprising-and-amusing" local government's elections.
The result was that the Old Mayor of Budapest was changed to a New Green Mayor.
However, the two weeks before the election were very loud because "The Devil's lawyer" posted on internet the short porn video about Mr Zsolt Borkai of the mayor of Győr.
The voters' google searches show that everyone has been dealing with the scandal of Borkai between 3 and 7 of October!
This had such a strong impact on the Budapest electorate 13th October that no one was interested in the Old Mayor of Budapest's (Mr Tarlós) campaign based on google keywords statistics.
I suppose because of the scandal, then more people went to the polls in Budapest and this behavior resulted to win Mr Gergely Karacsony.
But of course this is just a "small game of google trends big data", and unfortunately the BI app also only made in Hungarian.
