In this opportunity, I would showcase an interactive report made with Power BI to summarise participating nations medal count. Also I have mashed up some data such as population, GDP, and health expenditure by country to see how a medal would represent a nation per capita. All of these are covered on page 2 and 3 of the report. We all know by now that the US has the most gold from all but if it were adjusted for population size, for one gold medal it equates to approximately per 9.7 Million people. They would then rank 33 compared to the Bahamas at top spot where 1 gold medal is 377 thousand per capita. Go Bahamas! Another interesting I found too was based on health expenditure by a country we could see countries that invest more would be glorious in sports. However, Ethiopia with and approximate spend of 31 USD a year per person on health expenses managed to snap 5 medals (currently 1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze). A winner is a winner no matter hard that obstacles are (Team Ethiopia).
