An exploration of embedding files in a Power BI dataset, I got the idea when I was doing some reading about Power BI, stumbled upon an artice about embedding images at this link: https://sqljason.com/2018/01/embedding-images-in-power-bi-using-base64.html which made me think about coupling files, or dataset (really anything relevant to the project) as part of the project. A part of the article was that an image file hosted outside the project could be moved, deleted, or some other way unavailable when it comes time to view the project. Keeping the image as part of the project would solve that, and what I was experimenting with was doing that but for files that accompany the project like documents, sample source files, etc.
I couldn't get it to work on Edge and I don't know why, the javascript isn't throwing any errors, the modules I'm using work just fine in Edge if I'm not working through the visual, I don't know what's going on. This was a hobby project so I figured I would submit it to the community as it is, in a mode of proof-of-concept.
The examples are a music file, a pdf file, a text file (python script) and a pbix file of itself but really it simply offers up for download a binary file, so it could be anything.
