This dashboard combines the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University's County level Cases and Deaths data with the latest 5-year Census estimates to create population-adjusted disease burden counts. The dashboard also incorporates Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) for Maryland at the county level.
About the data sources:
Real-time and historical case and death counts were taken from Johns Hopkins’ University Coronavirus Resource Center. Case and death counts are updated daily as reporting agencies update their counts.
Census data was taken from most recent 5-year estimates from the American Community Survey (ACS), an ongoing survey that provides vital information on a yearly basis about our nation and its people. Information from the survey generates data that help determine how more than federal and state funds are distributed each year.
