21 Years ago, Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered on a small, teen centred network on US TV. This show would go on for 7 seasons of network TV, a spin-off TV show that ran for 5 seasons, hundreds of tie-in novels and comic books and countless other commercial tie ins. Conventions happen regularly all over the world, charity screenings take place yearly and fans still meet up for viewing parties, themed nights and quizzes. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is perhaps the only television show outside of star trek to generate so much buzz in academia, with 'Buffy Studies' being available in multiple Universities all over the world. Most of all, Buffy provided a forward trajectory for feminism on TV.
The 10th March was the 21st anniversary of the premiere of BTVS and to celebrate, I've made this dashboard using Power BI.
