To analyze Champions League team statistics, I used UEFA data from their official site and converted it to xmls to load into Power BI. The report contains the cleaned data, but you can have a look at the online version here: https://goo.gl/Gzv5SX
My dataviz motto, is that I want to show data that is digestible for everyone at first sight, needing no explanation. I want my charts to be clear, eye-catchy and fun to play with at the same time, to be able to engage with readers. When it comes to data visualization, I think that the looks are just as important as the analysis itself.
With my report I wanted not only to show CL statistics, but highlight the spirit of football through the viz. The upper section can be filtered to show all teams that qualified themselves to the tournament phase, while the below bubble chart is more static. In the "football pitch" we can see, that the number of goals scored and the average ball possession time indicates correlation, while the size of the bubble shows the number of penalties the teams were given.

This is awesome, congrats!
