calculate percentage of total, but results in bigger than 1 number

Hi all,

I would like to create a calculated column in a table.

The formula is to calculate the percentage of a row value vs. the sum of the whole column. See below.
Background: sk_CircuitLocation only contains UNIQUE values.

Problem: this DAX results in bigger than 1 numbers! see the 9.67...and 7.7.. highlighted in the picture, which is not my intention at all.

I tried to repeat it in Excel and there is no such issue.

I tried a dummy table and no problem either!

Can anyone help me to solve it?

thanks very much!

Selina

Hi @QianHK ,

You are getting exponential nos.

You need to go to the formatting section and increase the number of zeros.

I just found the numbers are in SCIENTIFIC NOTATION! I totally ignored the "E" at the end of the number!!

The puzzle is solved now!  Silly me😂
