YTD BUTTON SLICER

Hello all 

I need to create a YTD  slicer  button 

is it possible in DAX without attaching any measure ? 

if so i'd like to know how

How can I calculate YTD into a new column in a Date table ? 

Hey @Anonymous ,

 

its hard to understand what you want to achieve.

 

Here you can find how to calculate a ytd. 

Here you see how you can put measures (like your ytd) in a slicer so you can select the respective ytd[2018,2019] etc.

 

Please give me a bit more info.

Hi @JosefPrakljacic 

 

I have a slicer panel that contains date slicers such a ALL TIME , LAST 7 DAYS , LAST 30 DAYS , and a DATE RANGE - all in a separated chicletslicer buttons . 

Also , today , for YTD button I use a fillter on 2019 and i want to replace it with a set formula so i wont have to change the year manualy each january  ... 

it looks like this - YTD

Hey @Anonymous,

 

would you please give us an example of your expected result?

 

What is a "slicer button"?

 

And I would say that you are going to need DAX but till I don't know what a "YTD Slicer Button" is - its just a big guessing game.

 

Hint: Its not a shame to also provide some sample data - just sayin 🙂
