I can't seem to get the quick measure to work when trying to create a running total for the column. Amount.amount.
Does anybody know what the dax would be for this?
Thanks
Hi, thanks but none of these are working as it should, it is summing up a total per fiscal quarter but I am looking for an accumulating total over the whole year (see image)
Hi @liamcol ,
You can use this measure:
Running total =
VAR currentDate =
MAX ( T[Date] )
RETURN
CALCULATE (
SUM ( T[Value] ),
FILTER ( ALL ( T[Date] ), T[Date] <= currentDate )
)

Hi @liamcol ,
The DAX for running total:
Running total= CALCULATE(SUM(AMOUNT.amount),FILTER(ALL(Close Date), Close Date)<=MAX(Close Date)))
I hope this helps! Please mark it as a solution if it works🙂
It says A function 'FILTER' has been used in a True/False expression that is used as a table filter expression. This is not allowed.
