Passing Slicer Date to Measure

I'm wanting to compare data from last month, with the month before. I'm successfully using this code which is based off Today() for getting the previous month adn the last month. I'm wanting to update that date with a Slicer so I can dynamically select any month and get the previous months value.

I've tried replacing Today() with SelectedValue ('table'[date]) but the end result is always blank. The Date Table is your standard data tabel and the slicer value is also a date.

I'm able to display each of the variables in a card, so I know I'm passing the date through. It doesn't seem to like the CalculateTable statement. The [m_sum] is just a simple Sum[metricvalue].

I've tried formatting the dates - that didn't do anything. I'm not clear how to check the CalculateTable.

I've also tried to use the Date table directly in the filter - nothing

Hi @TDisco

Try to use ALL('Date') in the filter of your ContexTable Var, and use  SelectedValue('table'[date],Today()) rather that Today().

When you select a date on a slicer that will filter your Date table.
