Inventory profile with running sum

Hi,

I have 3 simple tables:

1. Inventory

Product  Inventory  Plant

A10003000
A2503001
B6503000
B4003001

2. Orders

Date               Product   Order ref Customer OrderQty  Plant

8-MarAx123a551003000
9-MarAx321b96503000
12-MarAx652a558003000
20-MarBx145a883003001

3. Replenishment

Date              Product  Replen Ref  ReplenQty  Plant

13-MarAy55410003000
21-MarBy4572503001

I try to make 1 visual that shows me the running total of inventory for plant 3000/product A, subtracting the order quantity by date and adding the replenishment by date.   I tried it with the matrix visual and running totals but I failed miserably 🙂   Hope you can help

the easiest thing to do is use power query to combine all three tables together then it becomes simple to generate a running total etc.

at the very least combine the orders and replenishment tables, but you will need a composite key (plant/product) as powerbi only joins using one key column at a time.
