Hi @kousar99,

It is not easy to learn Power BI because there's a lot of content out there.

What I usally recommend in my company to others is doing these steps :

1) Go to SQLBI.com and do the 2 free class about Introduction to DAX and Introduction to DAX Modelling
2) A good book about PowerBI that is not too heavy is
Power Pivot and Power BI: The Excel User's Guide to DAX
I feel that it is not too heavy and give a good introduction to Power BI to get results relatively fast.
3) Then, look at the series on Calculate by Alberto

Now, you will do some testing and work on different projects. It will require you to understand different functions.
Ruth has a really nice channel on youtube and she explains very well a lot of content on Power BI. It is a really great resource to learn new features or functions in DAX.

If you are really interested about Power BI, I also recommend Guy in cube
It is one of the best Power BI channel out there.

You like Podcast and want to listen to something related to Power BI while riding back home?
Go listen to PowerBI tips episodes on youtube!

4) Now you have around 1-2 years of Power BI experience, it is a good time to look into
Definitive Guide to DAX suggested by @WinterMist

The other option is also to take the class "Mastering DAX" on SQLBI.com

5) You developed all those beautiful reports and are more concerned about Administration and Governance. Go look into all
Melissa Coates BI stuff on youtube or Matthew Roche.

6) You want to build a dashboard on Power BI Adoption inside your company?
Go look at Rui Romano stuff on github/youtube

7) You want to start to optimize your model and improve the performance of your report, take the class
"Optimizing DAX" on SQLBI.com

I might look like I'm sponsoring SQLBI.com but I'm not. The quality of their training is just that good.

@kousar99 -

By far the most helpful resource has been the following book:

"The Definitive Guide to DAX - 2nd Edition" by Russo & Ferrari

https://www.sqlbi.com/books/the-definitive-guide-to-dax-2nd-edition/

Forums & sites are sometimes helpful.

The problem is that without understanding how DAX works behind the scenes, you will just end up frustrated; because solutions you find will often not work for your specific scenarios.

No other resource I have found has helped me more.

Regards,

Nathan
