Dear Comminity,
Please help me to resolve problem with one calculation. I am trying to compare two values: stock and order qty per ITEM.
It calculates correctly only on ITEM level, not working when trying to sum up on higher levels (loosing filters?). My core data looks very simple: LEVEL, ITEM, QTY, TYPE (stock or order qty).
On summary level my calculation shows me wrong results:
LEVEL | ITEM | STOCK | ORDER | what will stay on stock CURRENT: | what will stay on stock DESIRED: |
AAA | A | 20 | 7 | 13 | 13 |
AAA | H | 100 | 0 | 0 | |
AAA TOTAL | 20 | 107 | 0 | 13 | |
BBB | B | 10 | 12 | 0 | 0 |
BBB | C | 100 | 2 | 98 | 98 |
BBB | D | 600 | 600 | 600 | |
BBB TOTAL | 710 | 14 | 696 | 698 | |
GRAND TOTAL | 730 | 121 | 609 | 711 |
Hope someone can help me! Many thanks!
This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
Also, this Quick Measure, Measure Totals, The Final Word should get you what you need:
