Hi everyone,
I read the similar post :
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Difference-between-two-columns-or-rows/td-p/188185
However, I tried applying the suggested DAX in my Power BI for the similar issue but it turned out to not be working. Because I am using two different datasets in the Model view. It means I have two different files - 2023 Projection and 2022 Expenditure. How do I calculate the difference per unit between both.
Thank you for your help!
Unit | 2023 Projection | 2022 Expenditure |
Finance | $ 20,000.00 | $ 10,000.00 |
Human Resource | $ 400,000.00 | $ 350,000.00 |
Marketing Communication | $ 500,000.00 | $ 850,000.00 |
Programme | $ 2,000.00 | $ 30,000.00 |
Engagement | $ 500.00 | $ 500.00 |
There are two catergories - Account and Department. I want to calculate a difference per Account catergory between Spent and Projection. Please advise.
your sample dataset is not sufficient to reflect the challenge, please consider enrich it.
This is sample dataset. I can't show everything from my orginial dataset which contains very sensitive info.
Can you share the screenshot of your data modelling and the relationship details?
Thanks,
Arul
