Finding difference in values for the same category

My dataset has 3 columns: vehicle registration, month and year, and kilometers. How can I develop a measure which allows me to find the difference in kilometres between consecutive months for the same vehicle (with the same registration number)?

Hi, @musafasih

Please check the below picture and the sample pbix file's link down below, whether it is what you are looking for.

It is better to have Dim Caledar Table separately.

All measures are in the sample pbix file.

@musafasih , Best is create a date like

date([year], [month],1) , then join with date table and create measures likes

example

MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Table[kilometers]),DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))
last MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Table[kilometers]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,MONTH)))
