Filtering by values that aren't on my DB just yet

Hello! Through a Direct Query connection, I am trying to perform a DAX formula to filter by values that I know are not present in my DB just yet, but will be in the future; however, upon entering them into the formula and DQ not finding them, the visual doesn't work. Is there a way to get around this so I can set this filter?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry, I just realized the problem wasn't the DAX formula, but a date filter I had on which returned null values. Thank you for taking the time to help out nonetheless!

"... upon entering them into the formula and DQ not finding them, the visual doesn't work."

What does it mean "does not work"?
