Hi, I am trying to create a table where the user can select the columns in the table based on a slicer. I am using a field parameter to do this and it works well but there are no totals in the final table.
I made sure options for totals is selected but it still doesn't work. Since the values of the table are the field parameter there is no option to change the parameter to sum.
Additionally, I can't use IF and HASVALUEON to summarized the data because the parameter is a string.
Any idea how I can add the total row?
@amitchandak thank you for the reply and great Medium post! Learned a lot about field parameters
I was able to impletment the measure you described but it doesn't exactly give me what I'm looking for. Is it possible to use the field parameter to return multiple columns instead of just one?
@nbs333 , Based on what I got.
Selected value you can get like
What is selected = maxx(filter('Axis Slicer', 'Axis Slicer'[Axis Slicer Order]= SELECTEDVALUE('Axis Slicer'[Axis Slicer Order])),'Axis Slicer'[Axis Slicer])
