Dynamic sum the measures based on the a slicer with these measure name

Hi,

I have a table which is basically contains rankings for different facts, all these rankings are measures which use the rankx formula.

What i want to achieve is to have a slicer with these factor names and by selecting different factor names in this slicer, i would like to have a new measure which sums the ranking measures for the selected factor (the selected measure can be either single or multiple).

Any idea on if this is possible to achieve in power BI? thanks in advance!

Best,

Zhengyang

@Hakun_Matata ,The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.
I think you need something like

Appreciate your Kudos.

Hi amitchandak,

For example, i have a table below which all the columns are a measure using rankx for different factors:

Company      Factor 1     Factor 2     Factor 3     Factor 4

Company1         1               2                 3               2

Company2         2               1                 2               3

Company3         3               3                 1               1

what i want to achieve is to have a slicer for different factors:

Factor 1 (Selected)

Factor 2 (Selected)

Factor 3

Factor 4

And the new measure X will be the sum of all the ranking scores i have selected:

Company      Factor 1     Factor 2     Factor 3     Factor 4     X

Company1         1               2                 3               2            3

Company2         2               1                 2               3            3

Company3         3               3                 1               1            6

if i choose Factor 1 + Factor 2 + Factor 3, the X will show the sum of these 3 factor rankings.

Best,

Zhengyang
