Can't sort from custom index column

I have data column as "Sale State". In the visualize I want to sort

- Qualify 10%   = 6
- Develop 20% = 5
- Solution 40% = 4
- Proof 60%      = 3
- Close 80%      = 2
- Invoice 100%  = 1
- Lost 0%           = 7

I create custom colum as "Sale State Index" and sort "Sale State" from "Sale State Index" but the Power BI show error "Filed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: A circular dependency was detected"

Please help me fix this error.2021-11-24_11-13-03.png2021-11-24_11-10-45.png

Hi @Settha

That error is because those the Sale State Index is related to Sale State, Try to add the Sale State Index column in Power Query rather than DAX.

Or create a table with dax by using ADDCOLUMN and VALUES([Sale State]) dax functions then relate a new table with the main table, and use Sale State column from a new table in your visuals.
