You should be able to subscribe to a bookmarked or pre-filtered view of a report.

Absolutely agree, otherwise the 'Subscribe' function in Power BI Service is of little use - our users won't touch it until they're able to subscribe to something useful to send themselves. Example - Send top 5 customer sales for a given country (exists as a Bookmark).
